Frequently Asked Questions

Everything patients usually ask before their first visit. If your question is not here, call us — we are happy to answer it.

Illinois allows direct access to physical therapy, so in most cases you can begin without a referral. Some insurance plans still require one for coverage — call us and we will verify your specific plan before your first visit.

Bring your photo ID, insurance card, any referral or imaging reports from your physician, and comfortable clothing you can move in. Arrive about ten minutes early to complete paperwork.

Therapy should be challenging, not damaging. Some techniques create temporary discomfort, but we work within your tolerance and adjust based on your feedback at every visit.
We work with most major insurance plans and also offer self-pay options. Call (630) 474-2759 with your plan details and we will confirm your benefits and expected cost.
